Camille Sicangco
PhD Candidate
Camille is a PhD candidate at the Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment. Her work integrates on-the-ground field research with theoretical modelling to understand the impacts of warming and heatwaves on growth of Australian forests.
Prior to her PhD, Camille was awarded a 2023 postgraduate Fulbright scholarship, during which she developed and tested a model of plant water use that incorporated previously unaccounted-for tradeoffs between heat and drought stress. She holds bachelor’s degrees in botany and mathematics from the University of Florida.
